Got a taste of my nephew Coleman’s latest composition “The Dopest” on his Crocigator myspace blog. Kids nowadays — I’ve been running Live, Digital Performer, and Komplete (especially Kontakt!) for seems like ages now and these old grey cells are only humbled by the sysiphean transition from imagination to reality.
Meanwhile, here are are few examples of other tunes that are capturing my imagination of late (dig it, Coolman!). The last one is a test recording from vinyl thru a Dynavector P-75 mkII phono stage using a Dynavector 10×5 cartridge on a chopped Thorens TD160 (input thru a Presonus Firebox DAI). (BTW: all of them have been severely downmixed to ease bandwidth, sorry…)
